My Mom was taking a flight today. She is a spry 88 years old but is very hard of hearing and walks with a walker. After checking her bag, we rounded the corner to have 3 very friendly TSA agents waiting. Mom wears a hearing impaired sign. The agent saw it and immediately found the agent who uses sign language. Mom's hearing loss was late in life so she doesn't know sign language. Even though that was the case, he offered to assist her through the security process. Another staff member followed her up the plane ramp making sure that she made it safe and sound. It was such a good feeling that they cared for my Mom as if she were their own !!!!! Thank you so much for being so thoughtful and kind !!

Small but efficient and kind. I only fly here for getting home on holidays as I go to a local college. Happy to hear United will be leaving this airport and hopefully some better airline will take over. United is the worst airline I've ever flown with. Would like to see Delta come in and take over.

Update: The nice folks at the airport contacted me with some potential solutions to the late night parking payment machine failures. Very helpful and accommodating to alleviate the concerns. Even with the occasional headache it's a much easier experience than the 2 hour trip each way to Nashville. Thank you Barkley Regional! Original: Routinely have issues with the parking lot payment machine. No biggy right? Just get the whole line of exiting cars to let you backup, circle around, park, go back inside to use the backup machine to pay for the pass to get out of the lot. Nope, it's down too. And another late night watching all of us try every credit card we have to get out of the KPAH corral. If it's not going to work (seems like 3 weeks in a row but who is counting) let's just set up a coffee can and the honor system. License plate billing? Something more reliable than the unattended machines in place. If we can't operate a parking gate and the backup inside payment machine how are we going to care for a whole new terminal??

Airport security was super rude, and yelled at us while asking a question. we have a 26ft long truck and couldn’t fit in thru the gates to enter the waiting parking lot. Our friend lands at 2:10pm and at 2:07 we pull up to the front of the airport in the loading zone, she knocks on our window and starts telling us we can’t park here, we asked where we can park and tried to explain he lands at 2:10. She says plane has been delayed you can’t park here unless he is here waiting, I ask is there a good spot for us to park anywhere around here. And she climbs on the our running board and starts yelling into our window over us saying move our truck you can’t park here. Very rude, very poor service, when we just had a question.

Just come on the day you are flying at least 45 minutes before scheduled departure, the airline can get you checked in and print your passes

Currently, a valid drivers license is all that is needed. Next year, a Real ID compliant form of identification will be needed. Kentucky is updating to that standard, so you will need an updated license or a passport when that goes into effect. Don't know the exact date.
