This is becoming Hong Kong House of Broccoli!!! Most of the dishes are crammed with it as cheap filler. I don't think they even know what BOK CHOY or BAMBOO SHOOTS or BEAN SPROUTS or Woodear mushroom or Cabbage are. Their prices have went thru the roof and quantity has been cut. Quality has deteriorated. They NO LONGER serve Pork Fried Rice with Dinner Combos, the egg rolls are cheap frozen Geno wannabes that are over double the price they should be. They need to spend a week in San Francisco to learn some real Chinese/American Cuisine skills And they have the nerve to charge for extra sauces $1 for 2TBSP. even when you have bought $40. and they act as if you are inconviencing them. IT'S NO WONDER THEY ARE ALWAYS EMPTY.

I grew up with at least a dozen excellent Chinese restaurants close to my home to choose from in the suburbs of Chicago. When I moved to central Illinois (Champaign-Urbana), I tried numerous Chinese restaurants. While they weren’t bad, I was disappointed none could compare to my hometown. (Ironically, after I moved, I was traveling through Champaign and stumbled upon a small out of the way place that was fabulous -Ming Garden). So imagine my surprise when I ordered from Hong Kong Buffet in the small town of McLeansboro, IL! I can’t believe such a great Chinese restaurant is in such a small town. The people are extremely friendly and very accommodating. I missed out on the Buffet experience due to covd - not a fan of buffets anyway 😆 - which by the way, they are extremely conscious of keeping thingscontactless. They have a plexiglass divider and use a cute little box to give you your order (they also have hand sanitizer for the customers to use). While I am not a fan of their egg rolls, kind of small and not very tasty, I’ve ordered a few things that where good, like the general Tso’s chicken, the egg drop soup, beef chop suey, a variety of fried rice, and my favorite of this list - chicken egg foo young. A dish which varies so greatly from restaurant to restaurant. Their egg foo young is one of the best I’ve had. Great texture, nice crispy veggies, soft eggs and delicious gravy. They serve it separately (to go orders) so it doesn’t get soggy. I love when they put the rice in the to go cups instead of the boxes. It stays longer for leftovers. But, the piéce de résistance (another irony 😂) was theee very best most delicious ever Kung Pao Chicken! I order it mildly spiced and they get it perfect every time. It’s a bit short on the chicken, but the prices are excellent so I’m not complaining. After my first two orders, I decided to ask for extra chicken. They asked “How much worth.” I was a little confused, then they said “$1.00 worth or $2.00 worth. I ordered $1.00’s worth of extra chicken and it was perfect! I keep going back again and again! Mmmmmm!

They are not doing dine in. They have the dining room door blocked off. They have a little cubby hole that has a little door where they pass the food through
No they don't. They are cash or check only. They did have delivery a few years ago but stoped doing that.
