We stayed here in a cabin overnight while traveling south and back again to visit my parents. The cabin that we stayed in was completely perfect for our needs. Complete with a fridge and an air conditioner, the accommodations we great for our 90+ degree weather. The views were great and bathrooms were clean. We agree that we would definitely stay here again. For you horticulturists, it was the trees knees! Sidenote, there are no mattresses or bedding in the cabins. Remember to bring your own! As regular tent campers, we were prepared.

Wonderful place to camp and fish. Our family does a reunion here every year, we have only been twice but both times the kids and is had a blast.

Always a nice place for a drive. Good place to bring the kids to fish. Be sure to bring your own bait, as the nearest shops are in Carmi and McLeansboro. Paths are well maintained. Almost never a crowd other than ad the camp grounds during holidays.

One of the cleanest campgrounds I've camped at. The hosts make you feel welcome and the staff say busy upkeeping the grounds. It's quiet, relaxing, and scenic. The trails are very nicely kept. Highly recommend this campground!

The mattress pads were removed at least two years ago to remove a breeding ground for bedbugs that people had brought with them from home. The cabins are sprayed regularly and cleaned each time campers leave and have not had a problem since removing the pads. If you need an air mattress, 20 miles to the East there is a Wal-Mart in Carmi. I understand it is an inconvenience but removing the pads was the best option to protect campers. Now with Covid around, trying to keep all those mattresses sterilized would be an even bigger pain.
Yes
Yes, as of early March, I was able to shower at the facility with absolutely no problem.
