We get a monthly CSA share of meat from Moomaw Farm, and both the food and their service have been excellent. They're great at keeping us up to date on deliveries and the farm schedule, the drop-offs are always timely and professional, and it's been really nice to know that our family is eating local meat from well-cared-for animals. The family who runs this farm provides a high quality product delivered straight to our door, along with fun and useful information about goings-on at the farm. What's not to love?!? I'm so pleased to support these hard working folks and local agriculture. Participating in this CSA lines up with my moral values for ethical treatment of animals, my personal health goals for consuming organic/free-range/non-GMO foods, and my environmental standards for so many reasons. Good question, but no, we don't sell whole animals. We just offer the CSA subscriptions.
Yeah, we just raise animals for our CSA members, through our monthly subscriptions. We offer 10 lbs each month, or 10 lbs every other month. We have chicken, lamb, beef, and pork, and you can choose which to get in your 10 lbs box. We have a waitlist right now, but you can sign up on our waitlist if you are interested at our website. www.moomawfarm.com
