I was wowed standing in a historical house that my 5th great grandfather stood in asking John McLoughlin for advice before he signed the treaty of 1855. And the gift shop left me loving this pic of my 5th great grandma's brother chief Joseph. We truly need to value the history and historical places we have here. They truly are few. I left smiling and felt happy from this piece in our history here.

We are open Friday's and Saturday's, from 10-4. Free tours are at 10:15, 11:15, 12:15, 1:15, 2:15, and at three. Some tour times will be taken by private tours or schools, which may restrict "dropins" from joining the tours. Group sizes are generally no more than 20, partially due to the size of the rooms in the McLoughlin House. Tours start next door at the Barclay House. We have a gift shop and a small bathroom at the Barclay House.
They close for the winter. Usually the last weekend of November or first weekend in December. This year was November. They reopen in the spring. Reason is they use mostly natural lighting and it's too dark in the winter months. Awesome place to visit though.
They sell the passes at Fort Vancouver in Vancouver. McLoughlin House does sell them.
