As far as Goodwill stores go, this one was clean and most prices were fair. Employees were nice too.

I am very grateful for Augusta Goodwill! I buy used books at a reasonable price and then donate them back. I have donated carloads of great stuff- REALLY GREAT STUFF!!! And I love to shop there, terrific employees, prices are fair and reasonable.

This Goodwill is depleted of stock since the virus took hold but remains busy and there are good deals if you take it for what it is. Prices are all over the place with some items overpriced and some super deals. Checkout lines are long but staff are great. Goodwill provides jobs and vocational training for people that really benefit. Look for the deals but remember that ultimately your purchase supports a charity.

Even though I shop at Goodwill quite a bit, I am upset at the prices marked up on donated. Some of the prices are unbelievable on what would be considered trash and never should have been put on the floor for resale. And another thing is the refund, they say that you have to take a voucher to epend at another time. Not good tying up someone's finances, when at this time we are all struggling for every penny. Like what if someone needed a loaf of bread Now this is their money and won't be paid for another 3 days, they can't eat the voucher. I don't agree with your policy in this matter. I also went to try on some pants , as I was putting my leg in , YIKES?! There was honest to God POOP in said pants. sincerely: Juliette

Our Augusta store is open and taking donations. Here is the process, just so you know. There will be labeled bins outside your usual store donation site. You will sort your donations into the correct bins. The bins will be: Soft items: These include clothing, shoes, linen, and accessories such as belts and purses Hard items: These would be your household items, books, toys etc … Glass and breakable: Easily breakable items, or items made out of glass Simply take your items out of your bag and kindly place them in the appropriate container. We ask that you keep your bag with you (if you brought your donations in a bag). Please do not bring oversized donations such as a couch at this time because we will not be able to assist you (social distancing safety), so please hold onto those for now. Goodwill employees will monitor this process from behind locked doors and cannot assist donors for safety reasons. We cannot give donation receipts at this time, however there will be a scanable QR.
We are open for donation drop off 10 am to 6 pm Monday through Sunday. You can call our store to confirm that we are accepting that day at 207-623-1774 and press 1. Also check our website on the delays page at www.goodwillnne.org/delays
I believe so, but not sure. If they get too many donations, they stop taking things at times.
I would recommend that when you go out, perhaps drop off a few books at a time, rather than trying to do them all at once. It may take a while but it will be done that way vs. not getting them donated at all because the box is too heavy, :). Blessings!

Hi Janet, Thanks for your question. We accepting donations everyday - Monday through Sunday from 10 am to 6 pm. Starting Thursday, April 1 we will start accepting them from 10 am to 7 pm Monday through Sunday.
Hi Donald, Because of staff and space limitations set by state for the protection of our staff, unfortunately the Augusta donation center is closed today. We apologize for any inconvenience. We plan to reopen tomorrow. You can always check our website delays page: www.goodwillnne.org/delays or call the store 207-623-1774 and speak to an employee.
Hi Nancy, Yes, the Augusta store is now accepting donations from 10 am to 6 pm Monday through Sunday.
Yes, they take most tools as long as they are in decent condition. Note they do not accept anything gas powered
Typically, until 8. Generally, most Goodwill stores seem to take donations up until 1 hour of their closing time for that day.
Give us a call about that. 207-774-6323
I am not sure, but probably not past 3-4p.
