I walked in looking for a dog to pick out for myself however a dog named chewy pick me I love him so much and the people are very helpful. My little chewy got off the fence and I look everywhere for him and called all the dog's house. I went to work sad and upset and hurt and the people that work at this place called me call me where he was at getting the address and phone number I was able to pick him up right away I missed him so much it was only half a day. I love this place

It's always a great experience to stop by this shelter. The staff is always friendly and knowledgeable. This is our second time adopting a kitty from this shelter and I can honestly say that it's the best decision.

Wow what a great place, didn't know I lived so close to!! Kind of off the beaten path, but so many kitty cats! Very nice setup, having cats grouped by age and energy levels is very smart. People there were extremely friendly and welcoming!! I will definitely be back to look at these adorable felines!

Call SPOT, in St Pete, this is exactly what they provide. Inexpensive spay, neuter and shots
She may be a pet that got out of the door, and caught out in the rain. Holiday weekend, owners could be out of town. Check with neighbors first. Put signs up. Take her to a vet to see if she has a microchip.. Check with animal services to see if she has been reported missing. If after a couple of days the owner is not found, take her to animal shelter. Do what you hope someone would do for your fur babies.
Yes, they accept walk-ins for adoptions.
No, go to the shelter so you can be properly vetted.
They do have an area for donations
Don t know
Hi Papa, you can check out our available animals any time at friendsofstrays.org/adopt!
Call spots shots and fixed under 100 if not ablee to pay sometimes they help do she go in and out
Volunteers are the lifeblood!
I am sure they will accept new or slightly used. Along with pet foods, toys, cleaning supplies and anything that will make the employees and animals happy.
Meow now will come out and do trap neuter and releases. It's tough with feral kitties. I care for 14 inside and a colony outside of 13. And I am allergic to cats and dogs. Please be proactive. Kittens can reproduce at the age of 3 months old. Fixing them all is where to start. Making sure there is clean water and food daily would be ideal. Thank you for caring.
Yes. This is a no-kill shelter. They do amazing work. I encourage you to go visit and see the awesome animals up for adoption. ❤❤❤
Do you have any puppies or kittens
Sunday after 10am call Friends of Strays shelter for info. You can also go to their website for adoptable animals. They close on Monday and Tuesday.
If you are asking about trapping feral or community cats, they have a program, call their shelter to get information.
I would suggest that you look up limbo chihuahua rescue all right they should be able to help you with both dogs
I would call them.
You might want to go down there to see if it is your cat.
I would call them on Wednesday when they open. It's a great question and at very least they can point you in the right direction. Good luck
They do if their shelter is not full. They do spay and neuter all cats for free.
Hmmmmm. I'm more familiar w rescuing cats. If it's a small dog I don't see why a cat trap wouldn't work. If you go to Friends of Strays they will let you borrow one of their traps. If you need more resources reply to this. I will start looking online for more help. Prayers my friend.
Hi Patti, Friends of Strays accepts community cats in traps for RTF services Sunday through Thursday, 10am to 6pm. Our address is 2911 47th Ave N in St. Pete
Sorry, editing this answer, I was answering a question about a different facility. You can contact Friends of Strays and speak to their intake coordinator to see if they will be able to help you.
No. Call them and make an appointment
You can check out our available animals anytime at friendsofstrays.org/adopt
Hi Gene, you can view our adoptable animals at friendsofstrays.org/adopt
Hi Nyjah, we have cats and dogs available for adoption. You can view them any time at friendsofstrays.org/adopt
Hi Cyndi, we'd recommend checking with the shelters in Hillsborough County first. They can check for a microchip and then step in as they see fit.
Please take a pic soon.
I would call them directly. I donate items to them.
I agree with Mr Allen
Um .good question. & depends the cat? Jurisdiction Is the animal a ferrel? Male female?
$125 for kittens, less for more grown cats. Well worth it. All cats are spayed/neutered, have their shots, and have been microchipped.
Save our Strays is good as well. Just be sure it is a no-kill shelter
Take them to friends of strays
I agree...call them AND your vet and ask for help and suggestions
Possibly,contact them
You can get cat scratch fever anywhere l, anytime by being...wait for it...scratched by a cat. So it’s possible... House cat, your grandmas cat, the $3800 put bred cat- any cat.
Dogs and cats are different. I paid $100 for my cat. Some of the older ones are less. Any questions you have would be answered by someone there. They are very good people.
Does this cat have a white bib and a clipped ear?
Yes they always are, you have to go to a group type thing first to sign up then get training first.
Volunteers have to be 16 or older. I'm sure they will let you cuddle, play with the kitties tho!
I would call them Sue. The person I spoke with when I called said if they are friendly and have space they will take them for adoption or Foster. But I was referred to either County Animal Services or Pinellas County TNR. I called the second one because they trap, fix, ear tip and release. But call for sure as I don't work or volunteer for them. I did adopt from them and they were wonderful. Good Luck!
Call friends of strays. GREAT ORGANIZATION !!
They do take dogs. Not sure about this situation
What strays are you guys friends with? He is a sweet kitty who is now staying in our garage but we have 3 cats already and would like to see this guy find a safe place to live. Not sure what you guys do.
Go there fill out some paperwork, answer some important questions and pay adoption fee.
Friend of strays do a very good job
No
Call the shelter.
Not much
You should call them directly
Where do you want me to bring you food, April?
I don't know of another one scheduled right now. You might try calling them to find out if they are having another one.
I do not work there it's a place you can go in adopt an animal you'll have to call for yourself
They all have cages but they take turns running around their room to play and spend time with other cats But if you want to see a cat out you can take them out and let them play if you asi
No. This is only an adoption central
I believe so they welcome donations
They only take in stray animals. Owner surrenders should go to SPCA Tampa Bay or Humane Society of Pinellas.
They take in friendly stray cats who will be adoptable. Feral cats do best being spayed/neutered and vaccinated, but letting them continue to live their life outside instead of in a cage.
They are not an open clinic, so you would have to contact a local low-cost clinic to help you.
We are looking for an older orange female cat to adopt
They don't take in owner surrenders, I would contact SPCA Tampa Bay or Humane Society of Pinellas.
I know they don't put them down. Not sure if they pick up or not. Try calling them?
