Absolutely a great surprise. Everything is well prepared with lots of thoughts. I feel nothing we had here can be found elsewhere. In a tourist area honestly I wasn’t expecting much but Bird & Jim definitely exceeded my expectations from every single perspective. Highly recommended to everyone comes to Estes park and want something a bit formal and upscale!!!

A great lunch experience after stopping in the national park. All of the service was great but especially the employee who took the extra time to spend a few minutes talking to my four year old daughter. We enjoyed sitting on a couch in the lounge area for our meal. I asked for a recommendation on which burger to get and the Buffalo burger didn't disappoint. My side garden salad was also huge! The kids menu had some good options but could use additional drink options like apple juice or chocolate milk!

Outstanding food & service! This restaurant far surpassed my expectations, and was likely the best customer service experience I have ever received at a restaurant. We visited a couple of weeks ago during spring break and had a large party of 4 adults and 8 kids, and we were looking to enjoy a high quality experience somewhere in Estes Park for our final night in town. Bird & Jim delivered. The service: The excellent customer service began before we even arrived at the restaurant! We called ahead to make a reservation and double check that it was ok to bring a large group, including children. Not only were they good with us bringing our brood, but they also called us back 20 minutes later to ask if they could have lemonades and appetizers ready for us when we arrived. What?! The world class customer service continued at the restaurant with a very warm welcome by the front desk hostess, and continued on as we were seated. Everything was ready for us including appetizers, drinks, coloring kits for the kids, etc. Our waitress, Sarah, was outstanding the entire time and walked us through the menu and made suggestions. She always seemed to be a step ahead of what we needed at every turn. She went above and beyond consistently, even figuring out what the brand name of the ketchup was that the kids had with their food and writing it down on a piece of paper for us. There was even one point when our baby was starting to fuss and she offered to hold him! Not sure what more you could ask for in above and beyond service, TBH. The Food: The food was so good and unique! The food itself was of high quality and the flavors were unlike any other that I had experienced. Everything from the pork belly appetizer and homemade chips and dip, to the kids' chicken tenders, to the carnivore plate was just outstanding. Couldn't have asked for a more pleasing experience, and I highly recommend this place. I bet the patio in the summer time is awesome!

Excellent fresh food with a myriad of drink selections. Waiter knew the menu and we loved his recommendations. Had to sit in the lounge area as it was a Saturday night, but only had to wait about five minutes. Would definitely recommend

I would lean towards no. While the atmosphere is fun and casual enough the menu does not lend itself towards kids taste. Depends on the kid of course but I'd probably choose a different place if your kid is under 10.
There's a small lot and some parking on the adjacent street. I believe there is a ramp.
It is not true to eliminating vegan options. The owners of Bird & Jim are believers in sustainable ingredients and consciously farmed food. True to our beliefs we always have and always will offer vegan and gluten-free options. We did have a staffing change. We have had a pastry chef we have dearly loved and admired who is going 100% vegan and although we support veganism and will always have vegan options at our restaurant we are not a 100% vegan restaurant. We have been asked repeatedly by our customers to have non-vegan dessert options. We simply asked her to make a few desserts that were not 100% vegan and she is not able to do that. We completely honor and respect her passion and wish her the best. Her leaving our team has absolutely no impact on our approach, our sourcing, our believes or our quality. Nothing will change but we will miss her as a person and wish her the best hoping she finds a 100% vegan restaurant that will fit her.
