I was there with my husband and my brother around 7:37pm yesterday. We love their Rigatoni A La Vodka Pasta so we always preferred to go to Rosebud. We drove 45 minutes to the restaurant to have a decent meal knowing that they close at 9pm on Sundays. Once we got there, the restaurant wasn’t busy at all and we got seated and was offered bread and water. On the right of us, another couple had just arrived also. There were many waiters/ waitresses walking past our tables, but NO ONE acknowledged us even once. We had sat at our tables for exactly 43 minutes before we decided to get up and leave. It was SHOCKING to see a restaurant like Rosebud fail to provide a decent service. Even though the prices of the dishes are considered high, we still preferred Rosebud for our pasta cravings. But maybe we will need to reconsider our restaurant choices for next time. This was absolutely an unacceptable service coming from Rosebud.

Tremendous service, food, and atmosphere. The food was incredible. The cheeseburgers, spaghetti with meatballs and chicken Milanes we’re all delicious. Specially the chopped salad was to die for. Chilled and fresh with the greatest dressing. Loved the bread and sesame seed twists. Great place for family or friends. Loved it.

Food was definitely what would be considered ‘old school’ Italian American - lots of red sauce, lots of cheese. Baked cavatelli was delicious, eggplant parmigiana was good, spaghetti primavera was a fresh highlight, spaghetti and meatballs with Alfredo was amazing to the 8 year old that ordered it. Godiva mouse cake was huge, even our family of 4 could not finish it. The drinks were a bit of a disappointment, the basil cucumber martini was over cucumbery and the boozy blackberry lemonade contained no blackberries, couldn’t taste any lemonade, it was like a kool-aid version. Would recommend! Just maybe stick with wine.

I've been to few rosebud around Chicago, and this one has weird vibe, the atmosphere is little bit odd, since you have a feeling that you are in library or some industrial cafe place. Hosts and server were nice and fast. For appetizers we had stuffed mushrooms and baked clams, which were outstanding! For entrees we had eggplant parmesan, which had great tomato sauce, but that was it. Also we had vodka rigatoni pasta with shrimp, which was okay, nothing special, needed thicker sauce, more seasoning and pasta should be more tender and fresh. Tiramisu was incredibly good. So this place is not that bad, but it's far from 5 stars. They are relocating to other place nearby, which could be a nice improvement.
