Firstly the VIEW! I absolutely love the creativity of the beers. The food is also very good. I recommend this gem on the historical Oregon coast. Family and dog friendly. Cheers Fort George and team🍻

Upstairs at the Ft. George Brewery in Astoria, Oregon, you'll be treated to not only some really tasty chowder and wood-fired pizza, but some of the best views around of the Columbia River and beyond that, the mountains of SW Washington. Oh! And let's not forget the fantastic PNW beers, ales, stouts and lagers. Thirsty yet?

One of the best places to stop and have a beer in Astoria. Beers were delicious, pizza was tasty, with fresh ingredients and cooked in a wood fired oven. It’s worth sitting upstairs, especially on a sunny day. The Captain Phantasmic IPA was yummy!

I got to visit Astoria and I was so excited to finally try Fort George’s beer and food and I was not disappointed! Great service and I love the merch as well, the location and vibe as well made this place unforgettable! The pizza was delicious, I’m an Italian national and I was shocked to find such great pizza in Oregon!

Every hour is a happy hour at Fort George but they do have "happy hour"
All the times I've been there (coming from Portland), I've managed to snag a spot on the street right outside, but I've counted myself fortunate. There are side streets with parking as well, but they are steep inclined (similar to San Francisco), if that is significant for you. My advice is yo try for street parking, but also know in advance where the parking lot is mentioned below. Love the place!
I have seen a standard poodle upstairs pizza dining area and I have seen a bunch of dogs in the outside dining area
Yes. Fort George is only closed on Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, and Labor Day.
Yes it's a fantastic place for families I took my seven five and three year old and they had a blast then we were able to walk up top to the Woodfire Pizza restaurant with a view that was magnificent so yes you will love it
On Saturday, the downstairs pub is open until midnight. The upstairs pizzeria is open until 11pm. The kitchen is always open, right up to closing.
Fort George beer in Salem is distributed through Maletis, out of Portland. But to do a dock sale with them, you'd have to go to their warehouse on Swan Island. You might be able to work with a local bottle shop or taphouse that could order you in a keg. Or, you could set up a dock sale directly with us and pick-up at the pub. We sell kegs through FortGeorgeToGo.com for pick-up.
Yes. We sell gift cards through our online store at shop.fortgeorgebrewery.com. Those are mailed out, to any shipping address in the US.
We do have vegan options, including a vegan cheese substitution for the pizzas. You can talk to your server about those options.
There is some outside seating. We do take down the tents in high wind, so it may not be covered in bad weather. You can request deck seating when you make a reservation at fortgeorgebrewery.com/reservations. And dogs are welcome in the outside deck area.
Not at the moment, but you can always put in a resume at https://www.paycomonline.net/v4/ats/web.php/jobs?clientkey=E62B7D23E813570B4F2070FA18B06A62&jpt=20c187434577d77a2935cb323a64be2e
An auto mechanic garage and before that the site is where Fort George sat.
The Taproom is inside the Lovell Brewery, which does not allow dogs. However, the courtyard is just outside that entrance. If the weather is nice enough, many people sit out there with their dogs.
You can check for Fort George beer through the website - fortgeorgebrewery.com/beerfinder. Type in your zip code and pick your varieties. That sales data is typically 3-5 days old, but with a variety like Vortex IPA, it should give you pretty accurate results. Hope that helps!
We do not. We only fill Fort George kegs on our keg filler. We do have 1/6th bbl kegs available. You can request a keg purchase at fortgeorgebrewery.com/kegsales.
Friendly, leashed, non-service animals are welcome on the upper deck which is attached to the pizzeria. That is open at 4:30pm daily, and at noon on Saturday & Sunday. While there is no direct food service, dogs are also welcome in the courtyard. You can sit out there with your pet, and on weekends you can also get tacos and beer from the Lovell Taproom.
They are at a lot of places. There is a beer finder on their website you just put in a zip code and it will bring up a lot of places like Safeway, Fred Meyer and Bimart.
