Just as you are entering Astoria coming from the east, you'll find on your right the turnoff for Pier 39. Follow the signs, which will lead you across the riverside railroad tracks and onto an old wooden pier. Bumpity-bump across the narrow wooden plank pier until you come to the widened area, then park. If you visit on a weekend, you'll probably need to park on the street and walk across. You'll find yourself faced with the old Bumble Bee Tuna Cannery building which now houses a number of explore-worthy businesses, including Rogue Public House. Make the most of your trip and walk around the building! The businesses are all local Mom & Pops and fun to visit. Even the building's bathrooms are vintage, looking just as they did during the cannery's heyday. Reward your Exploring Self with refreshments at Rogue. Make your way into the pub through the merch area and be tempted to pick up some cool swag. Then take a look at the current taplist on the blackboard, or be seated at a table. Kiddos are welcome and there's sheltered patio seating for those with doggos. Okay, now the food. The clam chowder is excellent! Rich, bacony goodness. I wanted a second bowl, but opted to try the cheese curds instead. So glad that I did...they are tempura-like lightly breaded heaven and come with an outstanding jalapeño jelly dipper with just the right amount of kick. Ranch or an alternate dip provided upon request. The Beer. I tried 4 or 5 little samples before I decided on a seasonal offering. These aren't available in stores so it's drink 'em if you can get 'em. Settled on a nice IPA with a sweet malty element. I want to say it was called "Malternative" something. I should have taken a pic of the menu because it's not listed on their website. My bad. The friendly, attentive staff made my visit very enjoyable and I look forward to returning. Give them a try, highly recommend!

The oysters in the shooters were huge! Plenty of delicious beers available. Not many food options but what is offered is all good.

Best tasting salmon and chips I have ever had. The batter was light and had the best flavor. The chowder had a ton of clams. I prefer less clams. But most people would love that. Flavor was great! Hubby got those. He gave me a taste. I ordered salmon with a salad. It also was delicious! Was excellent! Was kind of weird driving on a wood dock to get there. But is holding up well. Be sure and check out the cannery museum next door before you leave. It is interesting and free!

We love Rogue and definitely recommend! We are very familiar with the Newport location and were excited to check out the location in Astoria! It is in a really cool/unique spot! Same great food, beer, and service that we know and love about Rogue! Family friendly and seating options at both the bar and tables. Definitely recommend you check this spot out.

Yes but can't sit at the bar.
Well, not much point, salmon are in the main stem, but I have run across the river, tied up and had lunch.
Do you have space for a rehearsal dinner for about 30 people?
Yes, but only if you eat outside. In fact pretty much any restaurant with outdoor seating will allow dogs in Astoria.
