Enjoyed my stay here. Nice amenities and food was pretty good. Could have been a little cleaner in my opinion, but then again it was spotless for the most part. Fun time playing tennis and jet skiing, also enjoyed the live music by the jacuzzi. Private beach was immaculate: Probably will return if I’m ever in San Diego again.

Our family of 6 really enjoyed our stay at the Bahia. Great location which is pretty much within a 15 minute drive from major San Diego. It’s in a quiet area with a private beach on the bay and walking distance to the ocean. Resort has a nice heated pool and a very large hot tub. We also enjoyed a free movie night while we were there. The restaurant has a nice outdoor seating area which is a great spot to grab a drink at night. The rooms were a bit dated but we didn’t come to San Diego to sit in our room. The room we had accommodated all six of us which is not always easy to find. Overall, for the price you pay, this is a great find in San Diego.

I really enjoyed my stay at Bahia. Even though it was just one night, the whole experience was amazing! Every staff member we talked to was so friendly and helpful, we felt very welcomed. We got to stay at the bay view studio and the view was really beautiful. I also loved all the plants through out the resort, a very nice tropical feeling. The highlight for me was the newly opened restaurant dockside 1953. I had the stuffed French toast, it was SO good! Very soft and not overly sweet, the fruits and oats added a nice texture. Dockside seating with beautiful view of the bay, and the heater worked so well, perfect for when I forgot to bring a jacket on a cold morning. All the waitresses were so friendly and welcoming. A breakfast there brightened my day!

Extremely good location and amenities, a value for the price paid. The resort makes it so that you don't need to leave if you don't want to - live music on weekends, a garden area, waterfront views. The staff is very accommodating-for example, we didn't have a microwave in our room but they brought one upon request. Note- the rooms could use a face-lift inside and are a bit dated, but they get the job done and are cozy. It wasn't enough to knock down my rating, but something to be aware of if you're looking for modern/updated rooms

Hi Angela, The Bahia Resort Hotel is located on Bahia Point and Gleason Road runs adjacent to the property and in parallel with it. On this side of the point, the beach is public and there are designated fire pits. Here is the information from the city on the use of the fire pits: https://www.sandiego.gov/lifeguards/safety/bchreg#fire "Fire Pits Where fire pits are provided during the summer months, they are available on a first come, first served basis. Open beach fires outside containers are prohibited at all San Diego beaches. Fires are not allowed between midnight and 5 a.m. The burning of rubbish is prohibited. Only wood, charcoal or paper products may be used as fuel. Fuel for the fire may not exceed a height of more than twelve inches above the upper edge of the fire container. The fire must be extinguished before leaving the beach. Coals must be removed or deposited in hot coal containers." Have a fun time and enjoy your bonfire on the beach!
Give the hotel a call as my understanding is the reservation agents can provide you with this type of info.
Yes, we signed them out from the pool and returned them when we got back from the beach.
Hi Jake! While there are many places in San Diego to go fishing, we do not allow fishing from the docks at the Marina. I recommend fishing at Crystal Pier in Pacific Beach, just a short drive or bike ride from the Bahia!
