One of the craziest place visited on our road trip and knew about it casually at Salvation Mountain by a volunteer. We visited for an hours or so, took a walk on the beach were you can see some art installation, saw some ruins and checked out some house were people still lives. You should stop if your on our way to Palm Springs or Salvation Mountain. There’s even a bar and a small market but we didn’t stopped.

This is such a cool place to go visit, we went in and out of every street just checking out everything going on here and there is plenty - I am not sure why the pin drop is in the middle of the town - so I will drop all my photos here as others have so if you visit the other places you will see maybe some of my same photos. But if your driving by you should plan a visit - it will make you want to look things up ... and see what there is to see and why things are the way they are. Good stop !!

This place has burned in my brain since visiting. The artwork was anywhere from bizarre to stunning, but always thought provoking. It stirred this desire in me to change things up. It was honestly magical.

Truly an amazing gem. The history and the ever changing artist installations are always the reason for my return. I try to explore this location annually as it always surprises me with new things to explore. If you made it to this location, might as well check out “salvation mountain” and “east Jesus” Have fun exploring
