The staff there was very friendly and helpful. The buying process was fairly rapid and straight forward. They did a safety check and explained all that needed to be known. I did pay more than expected due to fees and such and I wish those were reflected in the web price. It’s similar to buying a car. I would dock them a star for that but whatever, the staff was very nice.

David and his crew were very friendly, knowledgeable and courteous. He showed us the various trailer options and allowed us to make a pressure free choice. I was very impressed and will recommend him to others.

Great experience. Picked up my trailer today. Good price was able to get exactly what I wanted and trailer was nice and clean when I went to pick up. Can’t beat the warrantee on the trailers either. Warren was helpful and able to answer questions. Assistant manager was nice to help when we had a problem with the towing vehicle connection. All around a great experience and will be happy to recommend to others and return myself.

Pretty shady group of sales people as far as I’m concerned. Based on my experience, here’s what I would say: 1) don’t expect the pictures of the trailer you reserve online to actually be the trailer they are selling. Mine didn’t match (trailer in picture had grey wheels, the one they eventually sold me had black). I don’t know if they were just using stock photos, or if they sold my reserved trailer out from under me and gave me a different one. Either way, they should have the pictures of the actual trailer they are selling. 2) They aren’t forthcoming on the prices for anything. I wasn’t given the price of the trailer until we were several minutes into the purchase and I had to stop the sales rep and ask for it. 3) They aren’t afraid to make unauthorized purchases for trailer accessories once they have your credit/debit card on file. They charged me for a hitch lock before they gave me a price or even asked if I wanted it. The sales rep gave me his sales pitch about it and just automatically charged me for it. They had to issue me a refund when I said I didn’t want it. That’s super shady. 4) They knew I wanted a spare, and once again, they failed to disclose how much the spare actually is, and just added it to my bill. Tractor Supply has spares for way less than what these guys want for them. 5) The real kicker is they will charge you a $70 fee for hooking up your trailer and checking your lights. You would think that after spending thousands of dollars on a trailer, they would do this for free. U-Haul does a free light check for a $20 rental. This is horrible customer service. They will also charge a small shop fee for any supplies needed to hook up a trailer or check your lights. Funny thing is they didn’t even have the right bolts for me to put my license plate on. I had to use my own zip ties. If you are buying from out of state and/or are moving and plan on registering the trailer later, just know that the temp trip permits are technically only valid in the state they are issued. As far as I’m concerned, the guys here are your stereotypical sweet-talking shady salesmen. The mechanic doing my $70 light check was a cool dude though, and seemed like the only legit person there. I hope this isn’t a reflection of every Trailers Plus, and if so, it’s a shady place to deal. I’m giving two stars because I’m generous, the price for the trailer was fair (given the current market), and they let me keep my trailer there a couple days. The trailer I bought is pretty decent and pulls well, although I’m a bit bummed about the the bit of rust underneath. I wish I had better things to say about this place, but I’m thoroughly not impressed.

Questions & Answers

As a former loyal customer of trailers plus, I wanted to purchase another trailer from you, but due to the much higher pricing, and the salesman NOT willing to deal, I will be buying my new trailers elsewhere where they are mor reasonably priced

Where can I find the VIN on a 6 X 10 cargo trailer if the plate is missing?

I was told by sales rep that the only VIN on a Patriot trailer is on a sticker on the tongue. It was advised, at that time, I stamp the VIN myself.
