Been here twice at the right time of year but saw very few traces of the advertised eagles. The parking is better than at the bridge, a little furthe rup the road, and it is quite likley that there will be less of a crowd here - however, as a lot of people have said, it's a great place to walk a dog, and to enjoy a bit of nice scenery, but if you want eagles - well - go to the bridge.

If your goal is to photograph Bald Eagles feeding on Salmon then skip this and proceed a few more miles to the Welcome Bridge. This place was a waste of time for that purpose imo. Probably is a good dog walk place.

BEFORE you go any further north, stop here! If you are lucky you will see wild Eagles hunting for fish, calling to one another, or chilling in the trees. This area is full of life and it is a good taste of what is to come when you finally press onward. So take a deep breath and let nature embrace you!

Decent little "park". the map on the reader board is not only upside down, which makes it difficult to get your bearings while seeing the, "you are here", icon in the wrong spot, it shows the trail as a loop. So today I walked it. its no more a loop than the man in the moon. regardless of which direction you walk on the trail from the parking lot, you end up in someones private field. trail was in great shape and totally flat. nice tables scattered amongst the park as well. would be beautiful in the simmer.

The parking lot isn't really big enough for a horse trailer, but you could ride here.
