My patients have to pay out of pocket to their dentist because their dentist no longer takes Premera. This is because Premera cut the dental providers by over 30% in their reimbursement and they can no longer afford to stay in-network. Not to mention because they are out of network they are mailing the insurance checks to the patients and not the dentist which is super inconvenient for both the patient and provider. Premera is just another insurance company who is in healthcare for the money and not for patient care. Loss for the Providers and Loss for the Patient. Insurance companies always winning!

There phone automated machine line is unnecessary. If you mess up 2 times it automatically hangs up on you. As a provider I am greatly disappointed in how they manage a labyrinth of different questions that would easily fail the phone call or make the automated machine hang up on you on purpose just to wait on hold for 30 minutes to an hour once they are able to try to connect you to a real representative. Overall an F in patient quality satisfaction. I will change this to 3 stars once they get rid of there automated machine which does nothing but raise blood pressure.

Today I had a mix up with my two insurances both through Premera and a lovely lady named Julie graciously helped me. She was so kind and patient with me and was so responsive towards everything I was telling her. She even went out of her way to call the pharmacy multiple times in order to straighten things out. This woman deserves a raise!! If you are reading this, Julie, thank you so much for dedicating your time to give such a wonderful experience and to guide me through the process!

I've had Premera coverage for years, and I don't really have problems with the insurance itself. But since customer service was outsourced, it has been TERRIBLE. Customer service folks used to be kind and informed. Now they are not only uninformed but they are not polite at all. Also, they keep claiming I am not covered while they accept my automatic payment of over $2,500 a month. The website is so much worse than last year's, too. It is time to fix this. I'm very disappointed.

I'd like to help, Charles. You can send us a message using premeralistens.com with the best phone number to reach you. - Elaine H., social media manager
There is always the nurse hotline on the back of her insurance card for Premera users, typically their more for if you're unsure about experiencing symptoms. However I cant imagine they wouldnt be able to help her get vaccinated if she fits into their priority category. Best of luck!
If you go to Premera.com and log in. Then under member services, scroll down to Pharmacy services, from there click on Look up costs and coverage. Last step is to just search for the drug you want to know the price of.
Check online or call premera. You could check your last statement i.e. bill.
