I loved living here. I moved in during the pandemic and it was a lovely apartment to live and work remotely in :) Beautiful interior, loved the balcony and the peace and quiet. The staff at Cortland NoDa is the best and I miss them. But highly recommend these apartments :)

My boyfriend and I moved to Cortland NoDa last year and had an absolutely amazing experience from the first tour all the way through our lease end. The leasing office staff were so accommodating of us in the beginning as we had some changes to our anticipated move in date, and once we did move in we received calls from the manager welcoming us to the community which was so thoughtful. We mostly interacted with Deja, Lauren, and Morgan all of whom went above and beyond to assist us with anything we needed. The property also has beautiful amenities, spacious balconies, and is in an excellent location. If not for a relocation back to Texas, we absolutely would have stayed long term at this community and highly recommend it for anyone looking for a new home in Charlotte!

We’ve lived here for a year and just re l-signed our lease. The building is well kept up. They’re constantly doing preventative maintenance even though it’s a new building which helps keep things looking nice. Any service request I’ve raised has been resolved in less than a couple of days. The management is super friendly and approachable and they actually remember your name and face. The amenities are really nice - the pool, the grills, the fitness center and seating area by the pool, bike lockers and package lockers. The events each month are varied and they do resident contests from time to time which is nice. The apartments themselves are tasteful - the bathroom and kitchen layouts are great. We’re lucky enough to be on a top floor with a stunning city view- I know that sound does seem to travel easy though the walls and floors so it’s luck of the draw if you have loud neighbors. One more item to note- management has taken our safety serious and managed well during COVID times and I appreciate it. My biggest issue is that the building recently got sold and renamed from the Parkwood to Cortland Noda. We are NOT in a NoDa. I really wish the new owners kept the old name - it was definitely classier but if that’s my biggest complaint then so be it. We really do enjoy living here.

My partner and I lived at Cortland Noda (formerly the Parkwood) since the very beginning. We've never lived in a big box apartment before, and it definitely had it's perks and downfalls. The walls and floors are thin, but we personally got very lucky with our neighbors on on both sides of us as well as above us for the most part, so we didn't struggle with noise issues often. The pool was closed when we moved in because it was a brand new complex, and then closed during covid. When it was open finally, there were little centipedes in the water which was pretty gross but hopefully that was rectified over the winter months. The biggest complaints I have is that the location of the apartment itself is like a dust zone if you choose an apartment that is across from the rail yard, and the noise of living across from the rail yard/light rail is no joke. We quickly found out that leaving windows or our patio door open to enjoy the weather was a no go because of the thick layer of dust that settled on our things almost immediately, and even when we never opened the windows or patio door dust would still just coat our things despite frequent cleanings. It was pretty insane. As for the noise, the trains in the rail yard were constantly slamming into each other creating a super loud boom noise throughout the day and night, and the light rails horn beeps were my wake up alarm in the mornings. If you have any sort of severe asthma condition or are sensitive to noises, I'm not sure this would be the best fit for you. We moved here from living in downtown Chicago, so it wasn't a personal deal breaker but we are happy we no longer have to endure the noise. HOWEVER, the location is PERFECT with being in Optimist Park. About a mile from Noda, a couple of miles from Plaza Midwood, and a couple from Uptown. It was an overall a good living experience in the end.
