This is a Amazing place ,The people care about the public. There's been alot of changes this fall 2019. Kathy Saunder is president & I've never met a kinder more friendly caring person then her. The vollenteers that are there are amazing & are like family,I'm blessed to be friends & work with all of them , We are open 3 days a week ,You are allowed to shop 2 days a week. We are open Monday & Wednesday,9am till 12:30 pm& Friday 9 am till 7 pm. Changes have happened, you use to have to vollenteer 8 hours a month, know we do not force you but,if your not busy have a few hours we can use the help, only though your help can we keep all the shelfs filled! And we used to have everyone donate $30 a month which you get more then $30 from shopping once time.we have milk, dairy snacks protein fresh fruits breads ect. While we don't force the $30 a month donation if your able to donate $2--$5 each time or $15 every other week, it don't matter anything you can afford will help keep our doors open, because without donations the doors will eventually close down maybe not next week but eventually,so what ever you can afford and any time you can give to assist at the st John's food share vollenteer,it's be greatly appreciated, and if your in need come on over we can help .that what we are here for!

This not for profit not only helps feed people it gives elders a safe location to be rather than shut in. If you can't lift you can be a door greeter. Feeds members with the power of choice.

This is an awesome organization. It provides a needed service to those that need a way to stretch their food dollar. The all volunteer membership model gives everyone a stake in the work of the 29 year old organization. This is a safe place that aids the working poor and low income families.

Questions & Answers

What are the requirements to get free food

Thank you for your question. St John's Food Share has no requirements at this time. We do not require volunteer hours or a paid membership, as it has been the past. We are going thru a transition to a pantry. We do encourage a donation and volunteering, if that is possible. Our mission is to help people access food. Please come and experience us!
