Great day trip to go up to the waterfall. Very easy hike and beautiful scenery. Bald eagle’s, deer, cranes and peaceful. Can’t go wrong.

Absolutely gorgeous! This is a great place to find some amazing views. You don't even have to hike if you don't want to, the drive up the mountain is amazing! Just make sure if you do want to drive UP, you should have an SUV or something similar, its good to have the ground clearance and AWD. I only drove halfway up, but it was still 10/10 views.

Really peaceful little walk by then river. Good place for kids and adults. You can walk back into the woods further if you like, or just a little up hill on the path so you can see the waterfall. Definitely reccomend anyone in the area to stop.

Yes, as long as you maintain your dog on leash. The hike along the upper dike is short, though quite relaxing, but the road around the refuge is a lot longer hike.
Will be a ugly mess for sure. It's been raining all week, still alot of snow, and this means mud and slush.
Yes, there is a small area with a few picnic tables, by a creek.
I think the hunting would be pretty good I was just deer hunting on it a little over a week ago and a lot of birds flying. You should be able to find a blind. Lots of birds!@
I do not believe the wildlife refuge does that kind of animal care. I would try contacting a local veterinarian and see if they are aware of any local bird rescues.
Yes, it's open...but I would have four wheel drive...just in case...
