Had the buffet, which includes breakfast items til 2pm. It was good. Do you ever eat the little bagged donuts from the convenience store? I quit eating them because they leave a nasty coating of grease in my mouth. Shoney's had the powdered variety. I tried one wirh caution. They were yummy!! Yes, I had several more. I also liked the bacon. I'm a crispy bacon girl, and theirs was just right. Best of all was the hostess, Janie. Simply a delight! Had a smile on her face the whole time.

Stopped on our way to Orlando for a convention. The staff was really nice and welcoming. Even though we arrived around 8pm, they took care of us and got us food without a wait. It was a hint nostalgic too; we had Shoney's in Green Bay. WI, but it’s been a few decades. The mashed potatoes were a hit. They let us know well in advance that the salad bar was closing. Was it best food ever? The service was was. We get it, we got there super late. We’d stop by again on our trip through. Read some of the 1*s too. The economy was rough in KY. Staffing is hard. Could they do better? Yes, but when your driving 14 hours and happy to see food w/o a wait, who cares. Nobody got sick. Wish all the staff the best.

I am from Louisville, however, I was in the area to visit a friend in the hospital. After our hospital visit, we had gone to a popular restaurant in the area for dinner. However there was an hour and a half wait to be seated. That was much too long to wait so we decided to go to this Shoney's. I hadn't been to a Shoney's in years. It was the BEST choice! They only had the salad bar open but it was excellent!!! The fresh, hot, delicious fried chicken, mashed potatoes, and cooked cabbage on the salad bar were liked a "home cooked" meal at Grandma's house! The decision to come to Shoney's to eat, was way better than the restaurant chain we were originally going to go to. The staff was very friendly and accommodating!!! I will definitely go out of my way to make the trip back here to eat!!! 😋

Shoneys of Paducah KY was my first job so I sort of knew better than to expect much but it had been since that job that I had tried it. About the same set up inside, a Home food buffet with all the usual granny's kitchen foods, fries chicken, beans, noodles, mashed potatoes. Only missing meatloaf. Overall this was a clean looking place and not being very cleanly was my original issue with the chain. Not a bad stop but nothing extra special either. They do need more desserts, that's what's missing. Maybe it's a ploy to sell the strawberry pie?

Customers have to wear masks and the buffet is open but someone fix your plate.
It depends weekdays at 11 Fridays not till 2 Wednesday it last all day sat and Sunday it goes until 1 or 2 but you can order breakfast off the menu all day
Not sure, haven't been there on a weekend for a little while. I live on very little disability so I rarely go to big restaurants like that
There's no hotel attached but there's a motel across the street.
