Fantastic neighborhood feel, great local and regional produce, good atmosphere, next to a park and easy access.

Probably one of my favorite markets to just walk around and learn new things, but also great vegetables, treats, fresh fish as well as meats! I prefer going to this one on Sunday because most Saturday markets attract large crowds which can hinder your chances of getting what you were looking for. I really do enjoy Norma the mushroom lady! She is fantastic and full of knowledge!

What a gem... Plenty of radical veggies and pasture raised livestock farms... Helpful staff... Some of the best food in the country here in Portland. Don't miss out!!!

What are the Covid safety practices like here?

I won't go into detail but outline the basics. Masks or face coverings have been required since March, 2020 and will be for the foreseeable future. 6 foot distances between people has also been in place since March 2020. We have a hand washing station at the entrance as well as hand sanitizer. Touchable surfaces are wiped down regularly. We limit the number of customers inside the market based on guidance from the Oregon Health Authority and the Oregon Dept of Agriculture. (Not an issue in the winter but there will be a wait time as the weather warms up and more vendors return) Likewise, there is no eating in the market. Many vendors select the products for you. If not, then it's you touch, you buy. We discourage cash transactions and nearly all vendors accept cards. (We have a back up plan for machine failures.) We do accept SNAP transactions at the info booth. Staff and volunteers sanitize regularly when handling tokens. COVID practices change based on guidance from the state.

Still open today with the smoke overhead?
