After paying for zoo parking. We looked for a spot to have a picnic dinner. I realize this spot is probably not owned by the zoo. But in my opinion I think we should get free parking with our zoo parking ticket. Kids loved the play structure. Two picnic tables overlooking the play area, more in a covered area by the bathrooms. Bathrooms were a 3 star also.

A large play structure with lots to explore and trails right off the playground. One can easily spend a few hours here playing and exploring.

Coolest park ever, very clean and beautiful atmosphere. My two year old son loved it, the jungle gym/playground area is HUGE. I went on a Thursday around 5:30ish and it wasn't busy at all, just a small group of girls that do some kind weekly meet there. Was told by one of them that it's very busy on weekends. I'm new to Portland and all of Oregon for that matter. I've noticed that Oregon parks are kept up really well. Makes me realize how trashy California is. Hmmm, I never knew.
