Upon going to the hotel, it seemed picturesque. Check in was easy, and simple. The room upon entering seemed nice and clean. We asked for a non-smoking room, but had to move an outside ash tray that was right next to our door. I came prepared since it was a motel and sprayed down the entry door inside and out with bug spray. Floors were not really clean. Condensation was a big problem for this room. My biggest complaint about this place is the drama that happens when night falls. I did not feel safe at times when hearing the drama taking place outside my door. The place did its job for the time I had to be there in the area. The staff was friendly and accommodating. But I don't believe I will be back to this location, if I ever visit this area again. Price was decent.

For one of the older hotels, the renovations are lovely. Nice view of the river. The housekeeping staff is very friendly and accommodating. Night time check in, could be a little nicer but maybe she was having a bad day

I want to say that the staff was friendly and tried to accommodate. But we had consistent issues ranging from simple things such as the TV guide and remote missing, or the TV losing signal. The staff did fix these issues. But within the room other minor issues occured such as the hair dryer not working or the drain in the tub not closing all the way. It got to the point where the amount of issues just didn't warrant consistent complaint. The rooms were not very clean - floor was absolutely disgusting. We stayed one night and it did the job, but not much else.

Staff was friendly in the morning and at night, beds were comfortable. The room was very dirty - socks and feet turned black after any contact with the floors. I had two ants in the room, which I ignored because there weren't any trails, whatever. There was also a very large palmetto bug that I stepped on this morning. My skin was crawling afterwards. For the price of the hotel, the ratings, and the $50 security deposit, I was expecting something a little cleaner. Sign was posted No Refunds, but when I addressed the issue with the front desk, they said they were aware of the issues and unsure of what to do about it.
