First, I have purchased a handgun at this shop previously and completed a transfer as well. Both times were good experiences but were a couple years ago. I recently went in looking to buy a rifle only to be told they don't have any of that particular brand, no follow-up questions or general customer service of any kind, just "we don't have it". I can understand not having a specific brand but the model I was inquiring about has numerous manufacturers. I had money in my pocket to spend in their shop and due to the lack of any interest in and the dismissive attitude toward the only customer in the store at the time they lost a sale. I try to buy guns, ammo and parts at local shops around the sound but Boerners is one I will no longer visit. In my experience, customer service is key to generate sales and return customers. All it takes is one bad experience and that business is lost for good. Do yourself a favor and don't go out of your way to visit this shop!

These folks were a joy to work with when my family's John Browning Auto 5 12 GA. arrived. I'd been there before for ammo and my next gun may well be purchased there. Good, knowledgeable people. I will be back.

I've been into Boerners a couple times this In year for transfers and various stuff. I sure appreciate them over the local competition. In the years past, I went in there and saw a younger douche bag walking around behind the counter with an AK strapped to his back and thought that was too much...Now it's a mix of older and younger guys (all polite and helpful). There's a lot of places you can go, but these guys don't leave you feeling condescended to as some others would.
