Update: Used to be one of the best Mexican restaurants in Charlotte, not anymore. Disrespectful to customers and food preparation quality is no longer what it used to be. Longtime customer, gone. Previous review: Great food, comfy environment. The chef is upping his game recently with a Mexican brunch on Saturdays and Sundays. The Mexican Benedict was wonderfully flavored, even though the fried corn cake it was served on was too hard from frying - it would be better served with a soft cornbread cake. The large plate pictured is the chimichanga, also very good. Don't forget to ask to try their whipped habanero and jalapeño dips that are incredibly delicious (and dangerously spicy).

The place and food was wonderful. The food was plated perfectly and looked delicious. The lunch burrito was packed full and was so big that I could not eat it all. The flavor was fantastic. I would definitely go back for lunch or dinner. I highly recommend that you try this restaurant.

Went for half off tequila and $6 nachos per their advertised special. Waitress did not understand how the specials worked and did not pretend to care. Long story short she knew we came for the specials because we told her that upfront and asked questions about it but she basically just said she didn’t know and ended up charging full price for everything. When we questioned it she told us we ordered it wrong. Manager was nice but only honored the nachos pricing. I guess we know for next time but if you as a waitress don’t know how your specials work, you should try to find out so you can help your customers. Frustrating experience but the food was good. Drink was average at best.. both ordered spicy margarita which wasn’t spicy and we couldn’t taste the tequila.

Got the guacamole and the steak fajitas. I like the ambiance and the food. We will definitely try it again. We are trying new places in the area. Keep it up!
