Kasandra did a fantastic job! I have curly hair and went in with a terribly botched haircut, but she fixed me right up. Highly recommend Kasandra!

Professional, friendly, prompt and a relaxing atmosphere. My first visit was with stylist Ray and it was beyond expectations. He was thorough and precise. He analyzed my damaged hair, explaining every step he used in starting the process to healthier hair. I have never experienced this excellent type of service. I asked to purchase their products and not once was there any pressure to purchase their products. He is superb and I would highly recommend him to anyone. Totally a fabulous experience!

So friendly, talented, accommodating!!! So patient with every step of my cut (previously was JACKED by someone and I'm slowly getting it fixed). I highly recommend them. One of the only full service salons I've been to that doesn't try to make you buy all of their products, either. I'll definitely be coming here again

I was traveling through the state and was tired of having my hair look like a giant Q-Tip, so I did a quick search for potential hair salon that a man could get a decent haircut at. While there might be plenty of barbershops around, there is only one Barrett Benedict. And her talent is the reason why I am writing this essay. First off, I want to remark that there is a hairstyling school run by Aveda in Augusta, Maine, where new stylists and barbers will train to be future successful workers. Barrett works at this school and it shows in her communication style. I have thin, blonde hair, and I have a particular haircut preference that can be messed up if I do not communicate my preferences right. Barrett worked with me, by both taking the reins and taking a step back and letting me guide the process of describing what I would like done. It was a simple cut, but had enough detail that it could look messy. However, Barrett was able to use her own creativity to make something look good enough that I got a compliment right after, "How was boot camp?" A person said, and my partner said it looked good. Barrett listened to my concerns about thin hair and added some product that gave it a thicker look. She also taught me how to apply it in a way that made sense, because many other stylists are not as specific and teacher-centric as she is. If you are looking for a good cut, decent conversation, and a renewed sense of purpose, I recommend Green With Envy Salon in Augusta, Maine. I also recommend Barrett as a the kind of person that makes a city great, and Augusta is better with her there
