I am a regular Marriott customer, but this property leaves much to be desired. Just generally all-around dirty. In the workout room: water cooler broken, no sanitizer in dispensers, no towels there, flooring peeling/tripping hazard. When I asked for towels for the workout room supposedly “all the towels are in the wash.” Really? Old furniture sitting in a stairwell needed to be removed. We had two rooms, 4 people, only given one key per room. No microwave in room. Fridge missing shelf and not actually cold.

The 2 star review is generous. The best part of the experience was the very cordial front desk clerk. The lobby furniture is beyond worn but that is not a big deal to me. The hallway floors looked like they were in need of a good vacuuming. I walked in my assigned room, looked around and immediately went back to the front desk to check out. The room furniture is not just outdated but excessively worn and broken in places. The floor was stained and dirty (needed vacuuming). The final straw? The stains on the bedding. I travel for work and am used to staying in mid-level hotels. I was shocked at the status of the hotel because many reviewers write about how clean the hotel is...trust me, it isn't.

Check in was quick and easy. The whirlpool room was just perfect. My husband and I enjoyed the local life of Gastonia. Hotel was clean and rooms were cozy and clean. Staff was friendly and new the perfect places to shop and eat. Thanks for a great stay!!!!

I was in town for a dog training client in the Gastonia area. The hotel is perfect spot for food and not far from Charlotte. The check in process was easy and quick. Our room was clean and the bottled water came in perfect that was left in our room. Everyone we encountered that works there is so friendly and nice. Thanks for a great stay! The whirlpool was AMAZING!

They were fairly busy round Christmas season...but actually gave us an option. Then they were so wonderful that they in turn gave us for partial payment back since we didnt stay all night
