The Admiral is definitely one of the hidden gems in North Carolina! If you go to Asheville, I higly recommend you to book a place in this fabulous restaurant! Special Tip: if you are 2 people, book two seats at the bar and let Matt guide you through their menu while making extraordinary good cocktails! Must-try: if they have the Sweetbread (veal pancreas, not to be confused with bread) on their menu, you'll definitely have to try it! All in all, every dish was savoury and almost paired to perfection! Thanks to the manager, the chef, Matt and the rest of the team for this exceptional experience in Asheville!!👏👏

Upscale American fare. The service was competent and our server had a great dry humor. We had apps, entrees, cocktails, dessert the whole menu almost. Trout had yummy crisp skin, the steak was perfectly cooked and the mussels and pasta just right. Craft cocktails included a "kitchen coke". Funny take on a rum and Coke. Recommend!

The Admiral rounded out our AVL food tour, and I’ve gotta say, it’s one of the best meals I’ve *ever* had. I love their unique and rotating menu. We started w the fried oysters with mole, which we ate within minutes. The bread and house churned butter was good! My partner got the beef cheek ravioli dish which was DELICIOUS but maybe on the smaller side if you’re really hungry. On the contrary, the ribeye and patatas bravas that I got was only for those with an appetite! The chimichuri on top of the steak added such an element of freshness, and my steak was perfectly cooked. We sprung for dessert, a chocolate tartine w coffee ice cream, that was also finished in seconds. Their cocktails were fantastic. My partner said his old fashioned was one of the best he’s had, as was my espresso martini. HIGHLY recommend this spot!
