Water lines tend to burst and crack when not buried deep, people sometimes break them while gardening. But the main cause of needing a water line replacement is the material pipe. The materials used in the last 100 years are nothing like the pipes we have today. The pipes we have now can withstand very cold temperatures, handle very intense heat, and are more durable. People even notice changes to water quality when they have an issue. They see pools of water but usually, they see a very high water bill. That is when they call us for a water line replacement.
