A fantastic addition to the growing trail network in western Washington. The trail has many access points between Algona and Puyallup. There is approximately 5 miles of paved trail that meanders along the river and farms on the outskirts of Sumner. You will have to endure a little over a mile of sidewalk as you pass through the industrial parks north of downtown but it’s well worth it. The last southbound mile links up to the Puyallup river trail which will take you a few more miles. Be prepared for some uneven blacktop as the roots have begun to take over in certain areas. Additionally there is only one facility break located near the southern end of the trail but rest assured, with a quick side excursion you can be right downtown near all kinds of great shops and eateries.

Nice trail access point. I love that I can bring my dog or bike.
