Very interesting house with a lot of character and history. Once belonged to a rich textile tycoon, then became a convalescent home, then went back to a private owner, now a bed and breakfast. Super weird but very cool! The bed and breakfast part is in the old convalescent home, so there’s wide doors and lights above them in the hallways, as well as old pull switches and intercoms inside the room (not working, I’m sure). The remainder of this jewel of a house is mostly free to roam, with antique wood paneling and gorgeous details everywhere you look. The owner, housekeeper, and dog Sadie were all super nice and welcoming.

The staff are very nice. The mansion is clean and welcoming. Its quiet and charming. If I have the chance to stay here again, I would do it in a heartbeat!
