Absolutely unintelligent group of workers. Mailed my vehicle title request and filled out the forms as directed by one of the workers. I had them on the phone while I was filling it out and I went over the form multiple times with the representative. Called to follow up with the title request 8 weeks later (as advised by the DMV) They ended up mailing my title to the bank by mistake. Their solution to me was the following: (1) call the location that they mailed my title to and request for it from them (when clearly they mailed it to the wrong place) (2) resubmit the application with the fee. I am absolutely infuriated by the incompetency and the negligence of the oregon DMV. Why is their mistake my responsibility. They are a liability. Why can’t they reissue the title to me without a fee and CORRECT their own mistake rather than having me correct their mistake?!?!? Extremely dissatisfied and disappointed by the lack of intelligence. My loan is paid off. I filled out the form exactly how your staff directed me to fill out the form. I went over the completed form line by line multiple times before mailing it to the DMV and your staff stated that everything is correct. Obviously, the title got mailed to the wrong location.

Excellent all around staff experience. Everyone was doing their very best to get the zombies through. Fast, accurate, and effective. The Karens might bully us at DMV, but they got your back as long as you bring a respectful attitude along with necessary paperwork, Karen. Be well, 2022.

Best DMV experience I've had. Let's be honest, no one looks forward to a trip to the DMV, but the employees at South Salem made things quick and easy. I was able to get in and out in under 30 minutes without an appointment, and the friendly attitudes of the employees made a huge difference.

It's tough to imagine giving a DMV location any stars. I'd normally rather get dental work done...BUT the good natured lady that greeted me at the door and the simplicity of having a scheduled appointment time made this a lot less painful than in the past. Really hope they keep the by appointment concept (or maybe a hybrid of appt and walk-in)

It depends on what you are faxing. You can call 503-945-5000 and they can help you.
What? Check dmv website.
Take in two pieces of mail with your name on it, birth certificate and your social security card. That is what I would do.
You can submit you application by mail to 1905 Lana Ave NE Salem Or 97314.
Yes, DMV is open for appointments only for transactions that cannot be done by mail or over the phone. Appointment requests can only be submitted online and one of our many call agents will contact you to arrange for you to come in.
Go to https://www.oregon.gov/odot/dmv/pages/dv/chgaddress.aspx
You should be able to just go in and be assisted with your application and transaction without an appointment ! Just know that without an appointment it may be a lengthy wait depending on number of people in facility ! People with appointment are assisted at time of their appointment. Also just make sure you have all necessary documentation so you dont have to leave and return again !
And
I believe they have someone who speaks Spanish. I think it would be best to go on line and make an appointment. That way they can make sure to have someone available.
Without an appointment you can expect a wait. You shouldn't wait more than 30 minutes
If the ID is for travel you need a passport and proof of residents where you live If you're just getting a regular ID just pay for work saying that you live at the address and social security card
Walk-in people are welcome, if you need vin inspection for motorcycle just bring it to this DMV and these good folk's will take good care of you with minimul waiting.
There is also a stand by line until 4pm.
When I was there getting title for my new motorcycle. Next window was a young lady Renewing her License. She had made an appointment online for that morning. Not sure but I think you can just stop by and make an appointment. Have everything with you in case they say we're slow right now come on in. 8:00 a.m. is probably your best bet. Took me total of 20 minutes to get my Title Transfer which is one of the things you don't need an appointment for. She came in right behind me and left 5 minutes before I did. Good luck.
Open weekdays excluding Holidays by appointment only. If you just need forms an employee will grab them for you without an appointment
