My wife and I have lived here since 2008. We love the grounds and all the trees. We have a son who is able to utilize the playground and being able to check out a movie from the office is always a special treat. Keep up the great work Cornell Woods! I have read some of the reviews and would like to respond however, as a long-term resident I have witnessed more then most. The management has always practiced transparency and been quick to take care of any issues whithin our apartment. While I notice many complaints regarding vagrants and unwanted characters I aslo see those same individuals placing blame on the management and complex. It is not their responsibility to police the area. There is a Neighborhood Watch sign posted when you enter the community. Please know that no matter what, it is the people here at Cornell Woods who make the community and whithout you speaking up and out to the proper authorities no blame can be placed on anyone but yourselves. So the next time you feel 'unsafe' then please call Cornell Security or your local non-emergency number and don't run off and complain about nobody doing anything about the problem.

In general I have enjoyed living at CW. I was irritated a few years ago by many patios overflowing which boxes, furniture, and junk. that has substantially resolved. I'm grateful my rent has not been increased as it allows me to be able to stay here. I very much enjoy the landscaping and love my view of the grassy dog area. There have been times when residents were loud or shouting but they appear to have all moved out. I have always had quick responses to any maintenance requests. I do have ongoing issues with the chronic dampness and presence of spiders. I do the best i can with both issues as i don't see a fix for them. i'm happy here and would hate to have to move.

this place was one nightmare after another. halfway thru the year, our downstairs residents left and they started cleaning and spraying. at that point, i started to get bed bugs crawling up all my walls. they came out of little holes from the where floor meets the wall. and when we complained, they hired pest control at our expense. they covered the mattresses and sprayed everything but of course the bugs kept coming back. from that point, i had to give up the bedroom, and sleep in the living area with lights on to prevent them from crawling all over me. I tired numerous sprays, i took everything apart in my room, threw away my bed, washed all my clothes, emptied the room and still they kept coming. anyways, aside from that the area is not the safest. there was a hit n run inside the complex one time, and cops were always coming and going. cant throw away anything personal in the garbage since the homeless are always digging threw it. one time a homeless person set up camp right in front of our door in the winter. and it was on the third floor!! again, had to call the cops to remove him. last issue happened when we were leaving. we informed the manager couple months in advance, however, the company replaced him and when we were ready to leave the new manager claimed we had never informed them regarding leaving. and so we were charged an extra months rent for this hell of a place. i couldnt stand the conditions so we left and paid rent on two places for that month. if you care for your SAFETY, your SLEEP, your PEACE, your HEALTH, and your MONEY, i encourage you to avoid this place at all costs.

Total bait and switch. Ad listed one apartment at low price, we get there to fill out application and receive a tour and they say that apartment had an application go through. BUT they do have one for nearly $100 more about month. They said the deposit would be $99. Their website lists the deposit as $400. With 1 months rent. We pay the $80 application fee and are approved. Then they say the total cost is $1000 deposit and 1 month rent. Forget this!
