After having service For over 12 years and never missing a payment these guys and these guys won't pick our trash up because there's construction on the street that I live on. You would think that they would contact the city and make arrangements to be able to come pick up the residents trash on my street but no, they didn't. I also made 4 attempts to contact them one every single day of the miss pick up and they still have yet to pick my trash up I really hope that they don't plan on charging me the full amount of my trash pickup service fees and they didn't provide their full service this month.

By far THE WORST waste disposal service I have ever experienced. Their website malfunctions every time I try to use it. Our bill is 3x what we paid for the exact same service before we moved from Hillsboro Oregon. They give incorrect information over the phone. Their customer service reps probably get screamed at all day, even though the blame ought to be placed on the management and owners who set the prices and policies. They obviously don't care because they know we're all stuck with them because there is no other option here in Salem. Not at all surprised that their reviews and ratings from others also reflect what an awful company they are! Republic Services, if you read this, I hope you reflect on what an exploitative and subpar "service" you provide. We have no choice but to pay you for what should be a government subsidized public health service of removing waste from people's homes.

I feel for the staff who try their best to be pleasant on the phone. I have been trying to get a dumpster removed from the property for the last 26 days. So far, the dumpster with the stinky waste still sits on the property. I have called six times and and spoke to CS personnel every time. By the way, I fully paid them 26 days ago, 2 days before the first scheduled pick up. Not once did I get a call back. Obviously, they warrant less than 2 stars. It is obvious the management has issues to address.

UPDATE: I guess I’ll update here since calling gets absolutely no where. Just received an automated call about a past due notice even though my bins were FINALLY picked up and low and behold they switched the balance due from no bins being returned to attempted pick up charge. I have spoken with numerous people over the months stating there was no record of the bins ever even being attempted to be picked up until they were finally picked up. Do not use this service! I have no idea how a company like this is in business. The absolute worst experience I have ever had with any business in my life! We bought a house and moved out of our rental middle of March. I was instructed to leave my bins out and they would be picked up. A month later I received a bill for $300 saying that I didn’t return my bins. I called my old landlord and she stated they were out for three weeks and never picked up. Since then, I have schedule 3 pick ups and they have never been picked up! I am now receiving past due calls and no one will help us out. They will not allow us to return the bins to the office due to COVID but they are also refusing to pick them up. If they are not picked up today, I will be calling BBB. Republic has record of all of my phone calls and will not make it right!! My old landlord already has new tenants so this is a mess for all parties involved.

Questions & Answers

What happens to the garbage and trash after it is picked up? Does it go to a landfill?

Depends on where you live. In Marion county it goes to the Covanta power generation plant in Brooks. Yes that red and white steam stack east of I5 produces electricity while minimizing the cubic feet or landfill needed. But, if you’re in any other part of woke Oregon where they have voted down building additional power generation plants.

Put them in a metal can and if you're sure they're out still wait another 48hrs then lightly wet and stir. Put them in your flower bed, compost bin or yard debris. When storing the metal container be sure it is covered and away from all fuel sources including your house or any fumes from other sources.

Are they open on Sunday
