The criminal justice system in Clackamas County is an abomination . The jail is privately owned, and the goals of the system here, probation officers leading the way, are not rehabilitation or attempting to help society. The Clackamas County court system, the probation and parole office, the officers, and the "defenders" given to represent inmates in the rest of the court do NOT give a damn about you, your family, or anything else outside of revenue. This county "justice" system is about money. If you are on probation, you will most likely (about an 80% chance of returning to jail. This county will attempt to keep you in the cycle in any way possible. The corruption in this county off the charts. I refuse to purchase anything in Clackamas County, as I will not support in any way the complete lack of ethics in the criminal justice system here. They need to be challenged on multiple fronts in court --a non-Oregon court. There are so many things that are absolutely shameful within Clackamas County with regard to medical care, treatment of human beings, and corruption. Changes will occur with or without their willingness.
