I think previous posters (1-2 months ago) must have gone in when there was a young woman with a toddler behind the counter. That didn't bother me but I imagine it bothered the health dept. So they might have gone in when they were short handed. So I went in there on Apr. 13th and had a vegetarian omelet with bacon on the side, with hash browns, and with Rye toast. OMD was it all good! There's a sweet waitress now (likely taking the place of the young women with the toddler) who helped me with the crossword puzzle and she did fine. No long wait for food. The cook? I would take her home cooking any day of the week. I've eaten there 3 times now since this January and each time had excellent food. The service was a bit slow when the toddler was behind the counter but she seems to be at home now.

Real old school mom and pop café. timeless experience. Scratch made food. A very relaxing morning breakfast. Places like this having been disappearing over the psst 20 years.

Just ordered Friday Night fish special. Three pieces of frozen cod, maybe 5 oz in total, with no sauce. Comes with a salad, no dressing. Did have a backed potato which is tough to screw up. Heading to McDonald’s for more dinner.

How have I lived here for 7 years and not known about this hidden gem. I stopped in for breakfast and thoroughly enjoyed my chicken fried steak with eggs, toast, and hash browns. The Establishment is clean. The staff are prompt, professional, and quite friendly. And everything I've ever eaten here has been of excellent quality. If that's not enough to convince you to give the corner Cafe a try consider that my breakfast with a generous piece of chicken fried steak with all the fixings was around $10. Try it, you'll like it.
