From start to finish Black Bear nailed it! I rarely go out to eat these days because it's incredibly disappointing when I do. Some of the reasons can be ... miserable staff, dirty restaurant, tiny portions, consistency, poor quality food, Yada Yada Yada .... Well Black Bear was none of these! Our server Karen was pretty darn perfect. The Coffee was not diner coffee ( I lived back east so I know a little bit about diner coffee;) it was tasty and HOT! The food was delicious and HOT too. Portions were really generous, the menu is huge and has a ton of variety and i think the prices are very fair. I was able to chat with Misty the General Manager and tell her what an amazing job she and her team are doing!

A good experience. The New York steak was great, a little over cooked, but another one was offered. I loved that! Good service.

We had never heard of Black Bear Diner and didn’t really realize how many establishments there were from CA to AZ to TX! Wait: About 40 minutes. So worth the wait. Food: Food came out within 10 minutes. Chicken fried steak and the volcano. We love sharing and both we delicious. Chicken friend steak was perfectly fried. Pancakes were so sweet and delicious. We loved the sausage and the thick cut bacon. Atmosphere: Cozy and cool. Perfect temp - wasn’t too cold or too hot. Restroom: Clean. Someone needed to just go in there and do a quick sweep through. Waitress: friendly and quick

There is literally something for everyone here! I’m not a huge breakfast person but there were plenty of options. The menu is huge. Diner style food with a home cooked feel. Our waitress was very friendly and made sure we got everything we needed. Was visiting from Texas and wish they had locations in Texas other than in the Houston area.

They are like any other restaurants in Arizona must wear a mask and safe distance from others
They have prime rib, ham and turkey plates available, according to an email that they had sent me, but go ahead and call them to confirm prices and exact menu.
yes they are open .no reservations required.first come first served.and do get really busy.
I'm not sure. Since you can't have large gatherings, it would be best to check with them
