I wanted to love this vet. I felt terrible after every visit! It all started 2 years ago with my cocker spaniels ear. They charge so much and never addressed the issue. I have spent hundreds of dollars here and the doctor never calls me back. The one assistant made me feel awful telling me it's a luxury to have a dog. I feel so helpless. 😪

This Vet is all about the money. The female vet makes you feel like a bad pet owner if you don’t get every shot, every supplement or every test even if I feel it’s way over the top. The people who work up front are cold and rude. When you ask to talk to a manager to solve a problem she is uncaring and cold as well. I’ve been going there for 4 years but since they built a new beautiful building it’s all about money and how many services, needed or not, that they can bill you for. The female vet is the worst. My dog has had an inflamed back paw for 2 months. We’ve been in three times. We’ve had tests done to the tune of $800. Blood tests, cancer screening, biopsy etc. It is still not healed. I asked to come in again and she keeps giving the same answer of it’s going to take a while to heal and then charges me again. I had to take him to another vet and they can’t believe how infected and horrible the care was that I received. I’m into the new vet another $500. He is finally healing but there is scar tissue damage. I would never go to Hearthwood vet for any reason. On a side note my grown son quit taking his 2 dogs there 6 months ago for horrible care as well. I should have listened to him.

Have taken my pets here for over a decade, but this most recent time is/was definitely the last. We had been bringing our 2 year old Golden Doodle in on a semi-regular basis for re-occurring ear infections that they were unable to successfully treat. The most recent visit, after taking off from work, driving clear across town to pick up my dog, carefully driving her to Hearthwood so as to avoid her getting car sick (as she tends to do), I arrive at 1:12 for our 1 pm appointment. By the time I park and call from our vehicle, and they take my call, it is now 1:17pm. I am informed - by the dismissive receptionist - that because it is past 1:15, we'll need to reschedule our appointment, (and the next available opening is weeks out). I was besides myself. I literally thought she was joking with me. If they're going to have this "15 minute policy", then they sure should tell people about this when they schedule the appointment, (which they absolutely did not). Also, keep in mind, these visits usually take all of 10 mins. They basically smell her ear, and prescribe us drops that we can't get w/o the visit. We were basically there for a refill. I politely pleaded with them to not make my dog suffer for my negligence and tardiness. With the exception of ONE employee, who came out to talk to me and confided in me that she agreed that it was an inhumane policy, everybody else was as cold as could be. Including the Vet that walked past during the conversation, probably enjoying the un-planned break that she was now having at the expense of my pet's well-being. Needless to say, I immediately requested they send me our dog's medical records, and have since moved on to a vet that, thus far, has treated our dog like an actual living creature. Some of these people (at Hearthwood) seem like they would be far better suited to work at a place like an auto repair shop, rather than "caring" for what many of us view as "family members".

Great staff, doctors. Been going there for almost 25 years. That should tell "you" a whole lot of my feelings about this clinic. From new pet to the time it comes to say goodbye to them this group of folks has been there with us.

Can you email a copy of Dixie's diagnosis from 10/30/2020? Having her data available electronically is such a help when I file her insurance claims.
