Came in to get a battery replacement. Brought in my old battery from a 2012 Kia, some dark haired guy with a long beard suggested we test the battery before he provided us with a replacement. When he tested it, he INSISTED it wasn’t a bad battery and basically refused to sell us a new one. Although the date code showed it was 3 years old (batteries don’t last long in the AZ heat) and my car wasn’t starting. We left. Did some troubleshooting and came back a few hours later to get a new battery, the same dark hair bearded guy is there. He was clearly annoyed we came back asking for a replacement battery, as if he’s qualified to tell me what I can or cannot do with my vehicle. He asks me what model I drive, I tell him it’s a 2012 Kia Soul. He asks “does it have idle stop & go?” I’d never heard of such a thing, I said “I don’t think so.” He snaps back with “Well you need to know. If I don’t know for sure I could sell you the wrong battery.” But I brought in the battery that had been in my vehicle the last 3 years? Why couldn’t he just replace what I brought in and mind his own business? I said “Okay. I assume then it doesn’t have idle stop & go.” He replies with, “There’s a difference between knowing and assuming. I’m not willing to do damage to your car by selling you the wrong battery.” At this point, I’d had enough. It’d been hours and all I wanted in the first place was a battery. I walked out in the middle of him speaking down to me. I drove to autozone down the road, walked in, placed my battery on the counter, asked for a replacement, the gentlemen walked back, grabbed one and rang me up. Worked perfectly. Will never return to O’Reilly again, especially not this location. Remind long beard guy that he’s a cashier at an auto parts store, not a mechanic, and to treat customers with respect.

I had a amazing experience here with Misty. I was having a long day a purchased a battery from a bike shop. It came brand new missing bolts that were need to connect my bike to power. After visiting 4 other places this was my last resort. I called misty and she said that they have bolt left over from left over batteries. Misty made my day and this will be my 1st stop, for now on. Really appreciate the extra effort to help a customer. Thank you again
