The Classic Desert Aire Hotel

We stayed at Desert Aire Motel and it was 15 mins away from White Sands National Park and super convenient to crash one night. Breakfast was included and we enjoyed it. We loved their Georgian seasoning and the hostess was kind enough to get us some on the side as well. Rooms were clean and had AC. Beds could have been more comfortable and we should have booked a 2 queen bed room as 1 bed was a bit small for 2 of us.

Great rooms for the price. Nothing special but they were clean and neat. Breakfast included in the morning was yummy also! Love the murals on the outside decor. Nice place to relax. We visited White Sands earlier in the day. It was too windy for us to camp nearby, so we got a room for the night instead.

After coming over from the terrible neighbor hotel, days inn, this place was very good. The rooms are nice and roomy. The shower was absolutely amazing, nice and hot for a long time! And the breakfast was delicious, most of the staff was really nice except the little lady doing the breakfast, she was rude to my dad because he got a second cup of coffee and charged him for it. I think our stay here should qualify us for a couple cups of coffee. Other then that lady, the stay was nice!

The first thing that should be said about this place is that it is no longer the Magnuson Hotel. It went private and is now called The Desert Aire Motel. Very nice clean place, very big two and lots of parking available. They have a pool but it was not open when we were there. They offer breakfast which is kind of rare these days with covid. Kind of strange how you get it though. You fill out a form and turn it in the night before, and the next day they call you when it's ready and you go to the office and pick it up. The Wi-Fi there is very strong and reliable oh, we never lost signal it was not spotty like a lot of places. The cost of the room was very good compared to other similar hotels. I would definitely stay there again!
