Typical Miami Scam Shop - was told that need to book classes with them before specialty shark dive. Turned out to be a lie. The manager is utterly worthless. Scam.

Fantastic experience with South Beach Dive. They had a wonderful ratio of DM's and staff to divers. I am a solo diver and I was quickly paired with a buddy. I came in from Pennsylvania for a weekend and they were super helpful with pre-dive questions pertaining to Covid-19. I came from the airport to the dive shop and they gave a great recommendation for a cafe nearby for lunch! The two dives I did was Keith's Kanyon Reef and Neptune's Memorial Reed. Both were abundant with aquatic life and the reefs were in good condition (which means great colors for photographs)!

Went snorkeling on their Key Largo trip from Miami and it was amazing. The staff were super friendly & attentive and brought us out to two locations on Molasses Reef. Saw multiple barracudas, an angel shark, filefish, parrotfish, angelfish, 3 jacks, and a bunch of other fish. Highly recommend the shop and trip!

SBD is great, highly recommend. We booked a dive trip with them down to the reefs in John Pennekamp and had a blast. The store staff were all very pleasant and very helpful. They let us borrow a clip we needed for then handle of our dive camera and when I forgot to take my dive knife off of my rented BCD they were nice enough to work with me to get it sent to my home. We will absolutely be booking through them next time we're in Miami! The photo is from where our boat launched in key largo.

I went last September and my temperature was taken upon arrival, I either had to bring my own reg (or my own mouth piece if I needed to rent a reg), and people wore masks on the boat

Do you have to know how to swim in order to scuba dive?

Yes. South Beach Dive does a swimming test first thing as part of their courses.
