Hello Elizabeth, at the beginning of every job we develop a schedule that works for the homeowner. Any changes in the schedule will be brought to your attention immediately via email or phone call, rest assured you will be informed every step of the way!
Great question Stefano. The kids and pets always find our projects quite interesting. We are happy to indulge their curiosity and develop a plan that will be safe for everyone in the house. This can include sectioning off areas of the project that pose a risk to kids and animals and making sure that potentially dangerous material and tools are never left unattended in their presence. We never expose kids or animals to fumes, dust or any other situation that we would not expose ourselves or the homeowner to.
Generally speaking, permits are required for anything beyond cosmetic changes, but there are some exceptions. Working without permits results in hefty penalties against both the homeowner and the contractor. We won’t gamble! If you are unsure if your work requires permits, just ask us. We'd be happy to help you as your local Portland custom home builder.
Hello William, our company utilizes both employees and subcontractors. Using subcontractors allows us to deal with experts specializing in each part of your project. Most of our subcontractors have been working with us for many years and newer subcontractors have undergone a rigorous screening to become part of our team. Utilizing both employees and sub contractors allows us to have more control over the quality and timing of your project.
