Our unit was clean and very inviting. Well stocked kitchen. Satellite TV, games at the store that you can bring to your room, chairs on a covered deck and our unit had very comfortable beds. The one odd thing was that the bathroom mirror was hung so low that I could only see my face from my nose down. I'm 5'8 that seems odd. I had to squat to do my hair 😆 Bring whatever you need to cook as the nearest store is a bit of a ways away. They do have a few frozen items and other things available in the office store but it is limited and closes at 6:00 p.m. The swimming pool was a lot of fun for my grandson and they had pool noodles and other water toys which kept him having fun for quite a while. We loved having a fireplace and they provided sticks and we bought marshmallows in the office store and roasted them. Only 15 minutes from Crystal mountain. We rode the gondola up and the wildflowers were starting to bloom, there's a restaurant with an outdoor patio lined with beautiful flowers, marmot and chipmunks running around and if you're fortunate a beautiful view of Mount Rainier.

The cabin was amazing! Friendly staff, easy check in, warm pool, great (free) movie selection. Just minutes from the National Park and Crystal Mountain Resort.

We love bringing our family up to Alta. My kids have been in early and late season ski school at Crystal and choose to stay at Alta every time. The shuttle is so convenient and the shuttle driver is awesome. The heated pool is a must for my kiddos.

This resort is nicely located and seemed like a great place to relax and recharge, in a beautiful location. Which is why we selected it after camping for several days, to splurge and recharge before continuing our trip. I wish our experience was equal to what we hoped for and payed for. My most pressed feedback is: please, please, please buy new mattresses. A comfortable bed aiding a good night sleep often supplies guests with a good enough experience to overlook other hospitality mishaps. We looked forward to our first night, our upstairs neighbors were VERY loud, but we are outdoorsy and spent the time walking and enjoying the property - in rain and snow- and once it was neighbor kids bedtime, they were relatively quiet. However, the bed was old and uncomfortable, like feel every spring and the wire framing old. One of us slept on the couch, and we both agreed that sleeping in the RV would be better. Because this likely soured our experience, our list of discrepancies grew out of annoyance (coffee table broken, curtain rod hanging from screws in drywall and about to fall, stale food from store). I have reflected on the price I paid, the experience I received and feel a large inadequacy because after stayed at 2 other hotels on our trip, both on the cheaper end because Alta was suppose to be our splurge. Both the other hotels had far more comfortable beds, one hotel was in an equally 'tourist location' as Alta, and instead of a kitchenette they provided meals - they were cheaper, and the bed was comfortable. I see the owner replies to comments, owner, I know it is an expense and hard times, please prioritize new mattresses, as stated, a comfortable bed aiding in a good night sleep really supplies a better guest experience.
