It is a decent place to start out, but in the winter they do take their time clearing snow/ice from the walkways. When it is renewal time for your Lease, it will jump $30 - $40 and they will blame it on the economy, even though my unit is currently going for $915, and I'm paying $698 w/o water, sewage and trash. Communication has gone drastically down hill since HGLiving took over a few years ago. The only good thing I have to say about the property is the Maintenance man Carlos. He is quick to respond, of course depending on the issue, I had a ticket put in last night and had a knock on my door this afternoon. I would move somewhere else, but they are still cheaper than other places around town.

Update: 10/26/21 just witnessed a robbery, an apartment being broken into, according to the police it was a dope house. Stay away from this garbage complex.. More cars are being stolen, and my neighbors motorcycle was stolen less than 2 weeks ago. This apartment complex is garbage, should be condemned. Beat believe the positive reviews in the past year are fake, or purchased reviews. 8/2/21 if you're planning on moving into Hickory Creek Apartments don't.. cars are being stolen, broken into on a nightly basis. The rental company refuses to get private security. My truck was stolen, 4 of our neighbors cars were broken into. The property management does not care. We've been here for over 3 years and this place is garbage. Maintenance takes months to fix the simplist things. Took them over 6 months to fix our washer and it's not not right a year later. This place used to be decent until HGLiving took the place over. I repeat do not move here unless you want your property vandalized or stolen. After reading thru the reviews numerous people have had property vandalized, cars being broken into and if you look at the companies responses, they prove they dont care but that rent keeps going up in price. We've been dealing with Roaches since February and it's August, this place is run by slumlords.. Cant wait for their automated response of bs. Notice the automated response??? Don't move here.

New Edits: Your car may get broken into and they'll leave your doors open during a rainstorm. -1 star Someone siphoned my girlfriend's gas last night. -1 star Original: Chelsea from the leasing office is super helpful and kind. My one bedroom townhouse is both larger and cheaper than my previous apartment. The move in process was easy and my neighbors are nice. My favorite part of the apartment is the kitchen, which has enough counter space to cook on and the fridge is very new (has a built in ice maker).

STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE! My younger sister was supposed to move here and 6 days before her move in date, they told her they would have to push her move in back by A COUPLE OF WEEKS because they couldn't get in to do the renovations after someone was supposed to move out. Their solution was to offer her another unit for the same move in date but almost $50/month more expensive!!! Unacceptable...you can't expect someone to just push off their move in date for WEEKS or to afford a more expensive unit, some people have no other housing options after having already finalized their move out date somewhere else!!! Honestly relieved she was able to break the lease, especially after reading reviews here about break-ins happening all the time and management not caring. The only thing I will give them credit for is Cheyenne in the office is nice, did apologize for the inconvenience and was very responsive. Otherwise, save yourself the stress & potential risk to your safety, there's other affordable places to live in Columbus in better areas with MUCH better management.
