This is an exceptional facility. We have taken our GSD here since he was 5 months old. When he developed leash reactivity due to being attacked by several dogs (off leash), they helped him and us to extinguish this behavior and develop a plan for how to avoid situations. Training is individualized and high quality. Our dog gets excited just turning into the driveway for either classes or boarding. I would recommend them without qualification. The addition of the indoor training facility is a huge plus.

We recently purchased and picked up our new puppy and couldn't be happier. Before deciding to go with Von Waldberg my wife and I met with multiple breeders and ultimately decided to go with them because of how professional, clean, caring and transparent their business is run. They do not engage in talking negatively about other breeders and trainers, which was a big turn off for us because every other breeder we talked to did this. I cannot begin to recommend them enough and are very happy with our new family member!

I absolutely adore Kate and company. I've been working with her for nearly two years for the perfect puppy. I fell in love with them immediately. Their dogs are well socialized and beautiful imports and some home grown stunners. The perfect breeder who really cares about her dogs, there health and where they're going. I plan on remaining in contact with them as our pup continues to grow and hope to share all the happiness with them. We pick up our girl Monday and I couldn't be happier.

My best friend just turned four this July and it made me realize how fast time has gone. It feels like just yesterday when I drove up to Von Waldberg to pick him up at seven weeks old. He was so quiet and confident, even at such a young age. My husband and I always brag about how quickly it took to potty train him. He had one accident in the house, was reprimanded, and never did it ever again. Axel is the most amazing dog I have ever had. People constantly compliment his handsome features and demeanor. He is the most gorgeous German Shepherd my family has ever owned and you can see exactly what he got from each parent. Even though we do not have kids (though we have one on the way) he is always so patient with children who want to pet him at the park. He lays down and will let kids crawl all over him. We have no worries about bringing home our baby and know that they will be best friends. Axel knows how to act appropriately in all settings. He is calm and relaxed at home, fun and excited during exercise, vigilant and tough around suspicious strangers or when someone is at the door, and so much more. He just wants to be where you are at all times and be your best friend. As corny as this sounds, we honestly feel like he is a human. He just gets it and is so in tune with what is going on around him. This does not make taking vacations easy when he pouts as we are packing or smells that we went to the beach without him upon our return. But having a dog that is so aware makes a more secure, happy home. He is always vigilant and making sure his family is safe, both in the house and while outdoors. We feel completely safe at all times and never fear that our house will be broken into. Whenever I need to get something from my car at night or take a walk, I always take Axel to ensure no issues occur. Just having him present gives me a confidence I never had before. There are too many things to say about this dog. Von Waldberg gave us a puppy with intense intelligence, empathy, confidence, and loyalty. My husband had never been around German Shepherds as I had but has made it abundantly clear that we must always have one in our home. When it comes to owning a German Shepherd you want a safe, reliable breeder. It is important to find a German Shepherd puppy with healthy (both mentally and physically) parents and a breeder that knows what they are doing. If we have similar traits to our own parents and lineage, why wouldn't a dog? You do not need to look any further because Von Waldberg is it. They allow you to meet the parents, visit your puppy multiple times before taking him or her home and contact them at any time for questions. They provided me with all of Axel's lineage documentation and gave me so much knowledge on how to raise a healthy puppy. I felt confident bringing Axel home and have had no issues with him four years later. As I pet Axel now, all I can say is that I am the luckiest girl in the world to have a handsome, smart boy to spend my time with and I wish everyone had a dog like him too.

Depends on the litter. The litter we got our puppy from was 9 puppies and 2 were longer haired, I believe. One boy, one girl.
