If you love your family and friends, then do not go here. The one ICU charge nurse lacked compassion and understanding, laughing at family of a dying man, describing the way he looked in an unprofessional manner, and telling us that he did this to himself. Yes, we as his loved ones are aware and don’t need those things slapped in our face, we need an actual report of our dying loved one. All around poor communication from the staff, while some of the nurses were very kind and compassionate, the ones who were not left us traumatized over the events as our loved one passed away. Family felt forced by certain staff members to not do any life saving measures nor really given the time to discuss matters. It’s sad this once was a good hospital filled with doctors, nurses and staff who legitimately cared about their patients. I will have to say thank you to the kind staff member who saw me after leaving my loved one died who helped me sit down and making sure I was ok. Sorry I didn’t catch your name, but thank you.

Security needs more training. If you guys want better reviews. I was here and they are terrible not helpful whatsoever. One of the nurse she's terrible on customers services. I think every one works here needs better training.

Ive currently admitted at Saint Claire Hospital after an emergency room visit and it is horrible here. The beds are cheap and uncomfortable. The nurses are unhelpful and rude. Don't make the mistake of coming here. Go to Tacoma General. If I end up needing surgery, I will be leaving here and going elsewhere.

The last time I came this ER I did not have an overall good experience but this was many years ago so I decided to try again thinking maybe things were different. I brought my son into the ER and I knew there would be a wait like there usually is in all ERs. He was taken back for fairly quickly for triage and then an extra about 20 mins later. It looked hopeful at this point….but then we sat and waited two and a half hours to be brought to the back and that was only when I had gone up to ask because at this point I had seen more than 3 people who came into the ER maybe an hour or more after we did being brought to the back. Minutes after I inquired about how much longer the wait would be to be brought back, they called us. We then waited another 30 minutes for the Dr to do a quick check for discharge. A few mint after he came and left a nurse came and said, “we’re trying to track down your discharge papers so we can get you out of here”. I’m sorry, do you not know where the paperwork is? And if you don’t, that’s not something you want to share (showing the level of competency) with a parent who brought their child, entrusting you with their care. The nurse then brought in the paperwork and was going over the instructions with my son and didn’t acknowledge me, the parent, while going over these things. Now I remember why we don’t go there. I hope this post encourages them to be more mindful of these things.
