Very small park. My back yard is bigger. But it is some what cute. Very interesting setting. If people would only respect the area it would be great. You will always have those idiots that have to deface things to leave their mark. There is a cool house next to the park. I feel sorry for them because people visiting the park think Curt lived there. He didn't. Go, look, enjoy. Have respect and fun. The last 2 photos are of the house that Curt actually lived in. It is only a block away.

I was here approximately 1 year ago today. Rolled up in a white minivan with all my teenage kids. An older gentlemen approached me, claimed to have known the Cobain family and Kurt. Said his younger brother was friends with Kurt and they chased around the neighborhood all the time. Told some cool stories about them, but I'll never know if this guy was pulling my leg or not. But him and his wife seemed genuine and lived in a house less than a block from the park, so who knows.

A cool tribute to where a rock legend grew up. The memorials are tasteful and in a really serene part of town. Be nice to the neighbors as I think they get overwhelmed with a lot of people asking obnoxious questions. :)

This was a nice stop on our trip through Aberdeen. My daughter and I are big Nirvana fans. It was a bit dirty, but very peaceful. Don't bother the people in the house with questions they were kind enough to answer all your questions with a sign (see picture). As mentioned in the sign it's not Kurt's house, his is a couple blocks over.

Most days, unless it is summertime.
When do you think to go
1210 East 1st St., Aberdeen WA 98520 from age 2, now an historical landmark.
Unless they clean the little park just don't go. Everytime I have stoped by it is a muddy, needle, joke of a memorial.
Born in Aberdeen, WA, died in Seattle. You can find all the info on his IMDB profile.
Don't know, in the 15 minutes we were there about 12 - 15 people were there also
