I've worked for K and D for 11 months now. If you show up on time, ready to work and are reliable, you will get steady hours and opportunities for advancement. You can earn a company truck in a few months. ' There is extra pay for night shifts and weekends, even if you haven't hit 40 hours for the week. The less good news is there are a lot of traffic control supervisors who have grown burned out. The company is making strides to be better---better training, better pay, and decent medical benefits. You perceive that the higher management wants you to do a good job. Dispatch is highly competent. On balance, there is room for improvement, especially at the front-line supervisor level, but things seem to be moving in the right direction. I have been content working for K and D.

I applied to work with them in October and they called me. Their hiring office is in Everett, Washington and I applied to work in Portland, Oregon and Vancouver , Washington area. At the time I was working out of Tacoma and told them that I wouldn’t be back in the Vancouver area till the 23rd of October. They said that was ok and that they would give me a call back the Monday before to schedule a drug screen. I agreed. Monday came and nobody called me. So I called them Tuesday and nobody answered on several occasions of me calling. Same thing Wednesday. Thursday I finally get ahold of someone and they tell me that their hiring lady is on vacation and won’t be back till Monday. Ok that’s understandable as to why I couldn’t get ahold of her. So the next Monday comes around and I call and again nobody answers the phone. And same with Tuesday the next day!!! Obviously they have poor management when they can’t even call someone back they were interest in hiring and their office must not be staffed during normal business hours. I finally gave up. I wouldn’t recommend wasting your time like I did to work for, or with, this company.
