I contacted VCA to get an estimate for the spay of our female dog. Their policy is, you have to make an appointment/exam for a $100.00 before they will give you a quote. I have contacted 8 other vets in the last month that are willing to give you an estimate over the phone, and with exam fees of $45 to $52.95 at Banfield Pet Hospital Vancouver or in Oregon at Willamette Valley Animal Hospital, which shows most charges on their website of $247 for a spay. WHATS THE BIG SECRET VCA? Its like bait and switch with a $100 exam fee. I could image the spay cost for a large dog is probably $500-$600 plus tax. If VCA does not want to be transparent on fees with a simple spay, expect to pay a premium at VCA on everything else once they have your animal sedated. Bad business model, don't waste you time go elsewhere!!!

I have been through multiple veterinary clinics within the town I live, and even in neighboring cities. Like all the pet owners, I want the best care for my pets. I have had a few dogs now with serious health conditions, and had been seeking out a clinic that I feel will give them the best quality of life. That is why I now drive an hour one way to get to this clinic. This staff is extremely friendly and is willing to answer any and all of my questions. I am on my third dog with this clinic, and will continue to come here. Everywhere is experiencing staff shortages and regardless of that, this clinic still works tirelessly to give my precious puppy the best care.

Dr Grellmen is, hands down, the best vet I've ever worked with. She was so receptive to my fears and anxieties and really reliable and communicative whenever my dogs were being treated for anything. I feel so secure taking my pets to her. She did a marathon extraction session on my pitbull yesterday and I am so glad she walked me through things. The rest of the team is also fantastic. If I ever can't reach who I might be trying to get ahold of they're all so helpful. They really helped me whenever I beat myself up if the boys are sick or hurt. Very empathetic.

I have a very stranger-aggressive dog, and Dr. Moore and her team took ample time prior to our visit to talk with me about drug options to keep everyone safe and comfortable. Day-of, we had to do a little unrehearsed extra sedation, but they were so understanding and accommodating. I sometimes have a hard time not taking my dog's poor behavior personally, and their receptive, kind attitudes made all the difference. THANK YOU, Dr. Moore and the terrific staff at VCA!

Yes they do. Priority will go to appointments, but wait times haven't been crazy bad for me.
they do, you have to schedule a appointment a week or so ahead though since they are usually booked up

VCA offers a great plan that helps reduce the out of pocket amount for visits. Ask them about the CareClub. I have all my dogs on it because it saves us so much every year.
