It smells like pee some time and on one occasion I did have to be aggressive with them cleaning it because someone threw up on the toilet seat but they do check just do not clean them not til close. That was the only down side.

I wouldn't recommend it unless you 4 year old is very very well behaved. It's dark and could get pretty overwhelming for children.
